Industry Organizations: Which ones are right for you?

Joining a painting and design organization requires a financial commitment but also some vision of where you are with your decorative painting and design business -- and where you want to go in the future.

Each organization has many benefits -- but some are more tailored to strictly the decorative finishes industry, some are for professional painters and decorators and others focus on the design perspective.

Here are three industry organizations our clients have found to be of great benefit to their businesses:

The American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) focuses on the design of both commercial and residential spaces. The ASID website www.asid.org has some beautiful photography and can be a wealth of ideas for any decorative painter or interior specialist.

Painting and Decorating Contractors of America Painting and Decorating Contractors of America (PDCA) is focused on the professional painter and provides a variety of information on the business of painting on their website www.pdca.org.
SALI logo

Stencil Artisans League Inc. (SALI) is a not-for-profit organization providing member benefits including low-cost liability insurance, education at its annual convention and members helping members on a local chapter basis. The website is www.sali.org.
