One Horse Studio - Lorie Wolff

Lorie Wolf is a gifted decorative painter whose work spans a variety of different media. Her clients include commercial designers, interior specialists, home/private clients. One Horse Studio has been in business for 7+ years, and there is no let-up in the work Lorie is doing.

A key skill - and what Lorie loves most - is the creativity in art direction she can apply in coming up with ideas, planning the project and bringing a team together to make the project turn out just right.

On one recent project for a show home, Lorie coordinated a crew of 5-7 at a time to complete the work. A particularly successful partnership on several projects has been with Michele Kler of Art and Design, a faux finisher who Lorie says "loves to paint, and brings her creativity and skill to every job."

One of the particularly interesting notes of praise for Lorie's work comes from a client who talks about her ability to work well in a team with others.

"It is hard to express adequately in words Lorie's talent, her attention to detail, and most of all her ability to work as a team player. As the project evolved we (my client, myself, and Lorie) decided we needed to add more detail to the eight door fronts. Lorie bent over backwards to accomplish exactly the design concept we had discussed," wrote Deb Seeley.

As any decorative painter knows, such comments are hard won. Lorie's studio, located in Oregon's Northern Willamette Valley, is unique in its location and perspective as a number of the projects Lorie has completed have an equine focus.

Lorie's additional photos portray the uniqueness, depth and variety of her work. Her degrees in Interior Design and Textile Arts helped her achieve the NCIDQ certification.

"I had always wanted to work on my wood graining, and the class I attended at the SALI convention with Pierre Finkelstein was great, " Lorie noted.
